Into the Night premiered with its Second Season on Netflix, and it’s safe to say that fans are completely binge-watching it. But, of course, fans are also comparing it with Dark and other Netflix’s giant shows.
The thriller, Into the Night made its debut in 2020. The reviews it received from IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes were insanely good. It hooked the fans with its blend of foreign mid-air hijacking actioner with sci-fi mix storyline with first six episodes. After that, each episode just runs a little over 30 minutes. It’s the same format for season 2 as well, but people have held into it much tighter after it left fans on a major cliffhanger in the Season 1 finale.
Into the Night Season 2 Plot
With lots happening at the bunker, the survivors are led by Sylvie, played by Pauline Etienne, who fends off the sun. The bunker had promised to offer all the safety needed. But since nothing is in the survivors’ favor so far, they’re met with multiple obstacles which will endanger their survival. Each episode of the season is named after one of the main characters and starts with their flashback and forwards it to the present situation.
These characters don’t necessarily look back at their past in a happy way since their current state is distasteful already. The storyline decreases its pace as the tension increases as the story resumes. Not many new additional characters have been unleashed as yet. Certain deaths come along the way in the series. But it is a good thing they focused on this, rather than saving everyone given the circumstances.
The setting seems to be changed, but it complements the show. There’s also allegedly going to be a third party involved, but they are not unmasked. Most fans would have been looking forward to them since they must’ve binge-watched the whole thing at once with lots of questions.
Into the Night Season 2 buckles up after its 4th Episode. That’s where it serves the audience with its classic cliche. But there is a little hope of the situation getting better, but we never know. All the characters have split up again that too at odd times, and not all are guaranteed to head back. So it kind of keeps the fans hooked onto what’s going to happen.
Final Review
The opening of the show was quite interesting as most casts returned. They made fans secure and very relatable with the content. They follow this attitude of pulling things off against their odds even though their mission seems impossible. Season 1 was just the beginning. After this spectacular season 2, there is nothing but excitement for Season 3. The installment may just be on its way.
There was an introduction to the submarine in the finale episode, so this indicates there will be a third season in the future. The group in the bunker is hardly able to escape. Also, Ayaz (Mehmet Kurtulus) is all set to kill Markus at the seed vault as soon as he learns that he was the one who locked Zara (Regina Bikkinina) in the generator room. She and her son die of extreme heat. One of the mysterious men emerges out of the sub vault who confronts Ayaz for his wrongdoing, and gets shot.
