Shonda Rhimes’ forthcoming American thriller online television miniseries Inventing Anna is inspired by Jessica Pressler’s New York story “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People.” It’s understandable that anticipation for her next Netflix original, Inventing Anna, is strong. Is Anna, however, New York’s most notorious con artist or merely the new face of the American imagination? Anna and our journalist form a darkly humorous love-hate relationship as Anna is sentenced and our writer races against the clock to figure out who Anna Delvey is”.
Inventing Anna is inspired by Jessica Parker’s New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Fooled New York’s Party People.” The miniseries would follow Vivian, a reporter modelled on Parker, as she investigates people who have been affected by Anna’s machinations and attractions.
Release Date And Where To Watch
In June 2018, it was revealed that Netflix and Shondaland had purchased Jessica Pressler’s New York piece “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People,” with Shonda Rhimes working as showrunner and screenwriter with Betsy Beers.
Two episodes of the show, such as the premiere, will be directed and executive produced by David Frankel. In October of this year, primary shooting started in New York and Los Angeles. The 9 episodes of the miniseries are set to air on Netflix on February 11, 2022.

Anna Chlumsky as Vivian and Julia Garner as Anna would play Inventing Anna’s main characters. Chlumsky is a 6-times Emmy finalist for her part as Amy Brookheimer on Veep, and Garner is a twice Emmy champion for her character as Ruth Langmore on Ozark, so it would then be a great back-and-forth between these two excellent actors.
