The Plot Of The Film
The Book Of Eli is based in a post-apocalyptic world, where a devastative war had occurred which was continued for thirty years; the war made the world into a wasteland. The film’s protagonist is Eli ( Denzel Washington), a lone warrior who spent thirty years across the ruined land where he fights all sorts of danger to save humanity’s last hope, a book that had the power to save the human race.
Carnegie ( Gary Oldman), the film’s main antagonist, knew this sacred possession of Eli and the power the book possessed. Carnegie was resolute to take this book for himself. Eli preferred peace over fighting, he would take on anyone who dared to lay eyes on the sacred book, which was the last hope of humanity, and he would fulfil his destiny by restoring humankind.
