Jack Ryan is officially on for a third instalment. Meanwhile, the fans will respectfully remember that John Krasinksi gave them the biggest Halloween treat last year.
Season two was to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 1 November 2019. But magically everyone over at Amazon was feeling joyful and enthusiastic as the episodes came out a day early.
“Happy Halloween!” Krasinksi took to his Instagram. “To celebrate I thought I’d give all fans of Jack Ryan a little Halloween treat! When can you watch the new season? How about… right now!!! Yup! #JackRyan Season2! One day early!”
In the second season, Ryan and James Greer (Wendell Pierce) meet once again. Ryan flew out to Venezuela to prove an illegal shipment of weapons into the country.
Greer initially was in Russia then got transferred to South America. That’s where he came across his former partner.
The pair soon discovered that their individual missions were connected and so began their joint endeavour.
After a number of narrow escapes, Tom Wlaschiha’s Max Schenkel tried to drown Ryan in a bathtub and Greer was captured by President Reyes. But they both made their way out alive.
But will the boys return for more action?
Jack Ryan Season 3: When Will The Season Premiere?
Well, the good news is that Season three is officially confirmed.
As told to The Hollywood Reporter, John Krasinksi will return as the main character once again.
Checking out the pattern here, season one premiered in August 2018, while season two was released in October 2019. So, season 3 should be here in 2020.
It’s not yet confirmed though. Especially due to the delays caused by the current COVID-19 pandemic.
We really hope it’ll release in 2021. However, we won’t be in shock if it gets a little late. As Jack Ryan shoots all over the world, which is tricky in the current situation. So, the fans will understand and wait for their hero.
Jack Ryan Season 3: Who All Will Be Starring In It?
It is confirmed that Krasinksi will reprise his role as Ryan, but that’s the only confirmation we have so far.
It appears as if James Greer is finally over with fieldwork due to his heart problems, which caused chaos throughout season two.
As Greer odds-on to take on a more directorial role, if Pierce does return for more episodes, that might open the doors to a new partner for Jack Ryan.
There’s also the enigma of Dr Cathy Mueller (Abbie Cornish) who was missing from season two. Will she return? Her story feels incomplete, and fans have bidden to know what happened to her.
Michael Kelly (CIA station Chief Mike November) also expressed whether he will return.
He said that at the time, it was just a one-year deal. Kelly knows exactly what they’re up to next year and he can’t discuss it. Therefore, Michael can’t tell us if he’s a part of it or not.
Jack Ryan Season 3: What will be the plot of this season?
A scene-cut from the second season that is available on Blu-rays and DVD releases might give us a hint of the upcoming plot.
Jack visits Greer’s office where Greer ask Jack if he wants to lead a team that he’s assembling.
“I’ve got some good people,” he tells Jack. “Are you interested?”
Jack smirks, which propose that he’s onboard. It’s hard enough to guess what will happen, but it does give us a clue that Greer and Ryan will unite again in some form.
