The documentary was telecasted on November 30, 2021, this year and has been produced by Bonni Cohen, Richard Bergeand Serin Marshall, while Ruth Johnston, Jody Allen, Jannat Gargi, and Rocky Collins have executively produced this make.

Following a gripping tale of poverty and homelessness, the documentary has gained a 6.2/10 score on IMDb, making it an average watch. So let’s have a look as to what the audience is saying after giving this short documentary a watch, and is it really worth your time or not?

What are Viewers Saying After Watching Lead Me Home?

Lead Me Home is a courageous display of the often ignored issue of poverty by the duo Jon Shenk and Pedro Kos. The documentary was shot for over a period of three years and presents a very close look at the neglected issue of homelessness and poverty in the Western country that often the cinemas project all the way in a different manner, probably looking down on countries that are already plagued with this distress.

It is magnificent and, at the same time, sad. What most impressed the viewers was its authenticity to showcase our own streets and what we often turn a blind eye to. The documentary doesn’t glorify the rich and degrade them downtrodden but just offers what the situation is in reality with a touch of empathy. This has surely made us connect with the emotions of the sufferers.

Not only this, but the movie also puts forward some shocking facts gathered over thorough research in past years about the increasing homelessness in the States and how it can multiply in the near future. It is an eye-opener as to what the situation can look like if not taken care of in well time.

The gripping tale follows individuals from varied backgrounds in the situation of homelessness for many years in Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. It shows how they, despite being mistreated in the past, they will one day be able to leave behind their temporary shelter in tents, cars, and roadside and find a home. This has touched the viewers at so many levels, and the praise for its true showcase of the situation is what is being loved by the viewers.

What is Lead Me Home About?

This short documentary follows the life of the homeless population in different countries in America and how increasing living cost is pushing greater individuals to the street, and surviving the adverse situations is a tough task.

Is it Worth Watching?

Without fail, Lead Me Home is one of the better demonstrations of the reality of the homeless on the streets of America and how the general public has kept silent on it for years. It very intricately shames on the issue prevalent for such a long time. But the repetition of the unnarrative story becomes boring after a time, and more testimony would have been a better option.

More of imagery just restated the fact again and again, but more stories from the ones affected would have broadened the perspectives to a greater level. Yet, such an emotional revelation is definitely a must-watch to understand how it really feels to be away from home and the least we can do to the sufferers.

Where to Watch Lead Me Home?

This almost forty-minute documentary is available to stream on Netflix. The subscription has to be taken in order to stream it or download it and enjoy it in the comfort of our homes. Hope this gritty tale leaves an impact on you too!

The only word in the dictionary which can describe Lokesh well is "Curious". He is a man who sits in the corner of a café, sipping his coffee and watch others and write about them having a good time. Addicted to bettering himself each day. An impressive introvert who finds his home in the places he travels. It's either the power of universe or sunsets that sets his soul free. In between, He can be found wrapped in his own bubble, knitting stories even before the sun rises!
