Lifetime recently released its thriller suspense Sinister Switch on Friday, November 26, on its movies network on Television at 8.00 pm ET. Directed by Christopher Redmond, it stars Emily Alatalo, Steve Belford, and Natalie Jane in prominent roles.
The screenplay has been credited to director Redmond along with Jared Young and Ryan Cavan. Daijah Abram and Rachel Bulatovich are the associate producers of the movie, while Arnie Zipursky and Andrew C. Erin have helmed the executive producer’s seats.

What is Sinister Switch All About?
This thriller-packed movie focuses on a couple of Kristen and Justin, who have desperately searched for their kidnapped daughter Olivia for six years. One day they happen to meet her and are overjoyed beyond words.
But it soon dawns upon them that she isn’t their daughter but a girl named Natalie, who is among the five other girls who also got abducted at the same time that their daughter did. In order to find her daughter, Kristen goes on a mission with the help of Natalie to find out about Olivia.

Sinister Switch is Lifetime’s yet another suspense thriller revolving around the issue of child abduction. The movie displays a couple in dire desperation to find their missing daughter, who went missing years back. The fans found the acting of the cast somewhat average, which definitely had room for improvement.
The plot is also kind of repetitive but obviously with fresh faces on the front. However, the thrill elements are what have kept the viewers hooked to the movie till the end.

A parent’s desperation to meet their beloved child mixed with thrills and drama against the snow-capped mountains will definitely keep you off your seat through the movie. Is The Story Of Sinister Switch Based On Real Events?
Although we come across many instances of child abduction around us, Sinister Switch doesn’t draw inspiration from any real-life events. The plot is a work of fiction where the kidnapped girl manages to survive six years with the accused and eventually manages to free herself from their clutches and moves on to live a life with a forged identity with a new family.
The movie did focus on the sensitive issue of child kidnapping that is most common in their age group. However, movies like Beware of the Midwife, Saving My Daughter have been made by seeking inspiration from real kidnap survivors; sinister Switch is not one of them.
