Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures are collaborating on the computer-animated sci-fi action-adventure film Lightyear. During the ID@Xbox Showcase on August 10, 2021, which highlighted the work of independent developers, the upcoming title “Lightyear Frontier” was revealed with a teaser trailer.
In addition to open-world adventures, farm simulations, cooperative games, and sci-fi elements, this game offers an exciting array of activities. When will Lightyear Frontier be Released?
The release date for Pixar’s Lightyear is currently set for June 17, 2022; however, considering release dates are subject to constant change due to the COVID pandemic, don’t mark that date down yet.
A Swedish company, Amplifier Game Invest, acquired the studio FRAME BREAK in 2018, which developed and published “Lightyear Frontier.” Since “Lightyear Frontier” is a co-op game, the studio’s structure enables team members to influence any aspect of it.

In this sci-fi movie, an impressive expository shot shows a lush, green, rocky landscape at night against a backdrop of a red planet rising into the sky. During the short film, a red, bipedal robot emerges from inside what appears to be a flying RV.
The game’s natural world bursts into flames when a red meteor hits the ground. The red robot discovers a grey structure illuminated with purple accents as it explores the area. This structure could hold some key plot points. The trailer concludes with several shots of a house, windmills, and crops, all of which are watched over by robots dressed in yellow, green, blue, and red.
What is the Gameplay in Lightyear Frontier?
Despite the trailer’s lack of focus on gameplay details, the “Lightyear Frontier” Fact Sheet provides plenty of information on it. The trailer emphasizes the importance of tending to crops. As the farming mechanics in Frame Break are different from anything you’ve experienced before, players are challenged to grow their harvest and optimize their mech so they can work on the farm and explore exotic planet ecosystems.
If you want to uncover secrets and ruins, a plot with a deep history seems like the best choice. During your journey through the “four distinct seasons” in “Lightyear Frontier,” there will be both literal and metaphorical storms to weather.
