Lovers of The Red Sky, also known by the name Red Sky, is the latest edition to the Korean drama list for K-drama fans. It is the adaptation of a novel written by the author Jung EunGwol that comes by the same name. The series has been written by Ha Eun and Jang Tae Yoo (My Love From Another Star) is the director.
Lovers of The Red Sky premiered on August 30, 2021, on the SBS TV network. The episodes are released bi-weekly on Monday and Tuesday at 10 pm KST on the network. Each episode is around 70-75 minutes long and the series has a total of 16 episodes. The cast comprises Gong Myung, AhnHyoSeop, Kim Yoo Jung, and KwakSi Yang.
What’s the Story?
Set in the imaginary time during the rule of the Dan Dynasty, Lovers of The Red Sky is a fantasy romance between Hong Cheon Gi (Kim Yoo Jung), who happens to be the only female artist of the Korean Royal Academy of Painting with a charismatic personality and Ha Ram ( AhnHyoSeop), who is skilled in astronomy and meteorology and geography.
Hong Cheon Gi falls head over heels for Ha Ram at the very first sight and is in awe of his ruby-like red eyes. But amidst their blooming love, destiny plans an unpredictable turn. They are trapped in the evil schemes of the royal family involving two princes with opposite personalities-An Pyeong (Gong Myung) who is kind and Prince Soo Yang (KwakSi Yang) who is unkind and is greedy to get throned. In such circumstances, how will the two lovebirds unite or is there something else the destiny has in store for them?
Episode 6 Release and Expectations
The romance fantasy has garnered much appreciation from the audience both native as well as international post its broadcast on the SBS network. The first five episodes have been telecasted with the last being showcased on September 13, 2021, and the next in row, episode 6, is slated to go on air on September 14, 2021, at 10 pm KST.
The story so far has highlighted the glories of the past as the evil God Ma Wang gets defeated by the great Samson and how situations unwrap to make Cheon-gi the savior of people. From the upcoming episodes, the viewers might witness the closeness between Ha Ram and Cheong. Some jealousy is experienced by Ha Ram when Prince Yang Myung was flirting with Cheong. He becomes protective of her.
But what the viewers are most eager about is the fact that how Cheongi would stop discrimination against women and what will destiny has for both the lovers.
