Mission Impossible is a highly successful American action spy series starring Tom Cruise in the lead role. It is inspired by a television series that goes by the same name and is created by Bruce Geller. The first movie of the film series came back in 1996 and has received high appraises from both fans and critics. The most recent installment, i.e., the sixth movie, was released in July 2018. Every movie ends with the completion of the mission it was set on.
COVID-19 pandemic has hit the film industry and every other sphere of work adversely. M: I7 wasn’t also left unaffected and has led to several delays in shooting, production, and release of the film.
Release Date
Mission: Impossible 7 has faced another delay in its release date. The movie will now release on May 27, 2022, and was previously scheduled to release on January 3, 2022. The release date was shifted due to production delay, making it impossible for the filmmakers to meet the timeframe. Paramount Plus will be airing the movie on July 11, 2022. According to Deadline, shooting for M: I7 has stopped, and M: I8 is still on board to release on November 4, 2022.
Expected Cast & Characters
Main cast members are back with their lead roles. Tom Cruise will be again seen as IMF agent- Ethan Hunt. Many other characters of the franchise will be back in their role for this installment. Other cast includes:
- Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
- Simon Pegg as Benji
- Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust
We won’t be seeing Angela Bassett in M: I7. In an interview with Collider, she revealed that COVID-19 kept her out. Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff will also be seen in the movie, but their roles aren’t known yet.
Expected Plot
The crew of the film haven’t revealed anything specific about the details of the film and had rather preferred not to speak about it. Once again, we’ll witness Ethan Hunt going on an incredible mission with his team so that the world can be rescued from chaos. Looking at the cast, we can guess the plot of the movie. Seeing the return of Henry Czerny and Vanessa Kirby makes us think that M: I7 will have some correlation with M: I1. In the first installment of the movie series, we saw Kittridge clearing his name.
As many believe and say, M: I8 will be the end of the film series, so it is quite possible that M: I7 will have references to M: I1. These are just speculations, and it could very well happen that M: I7 ends with an entirely different story. M: I8 will be the franchise’s final installment and is set to kick its production once the production of M: I7 wraps up. It may still take some time for Mission Impossible to come on big screens but looking at all the hard work done by the crew and cast members, the movie will be worth a watch.
Is the Trailer out?
Many trailers for M: I7 are available on YouTube, but they’re not the official ones. The movie is still in the production process; hence it will take some time for the official trailer to come out.
