Morbius: January 28 Theatrical Release and What To Know Before Watching?

Morbius is an upcoming superhero action movie. The film is based on the Marvel supervillain known as Dr. Michael Morbius. The story follows his journey as a person infected with a rare blood disease. He goes on to find a cure for himself and people similar to him who are suffering from the same problem as him.

However, in search of finding good, something worse happens. He infects himself with a form of vampirism which turns him into a unique living vampire. Daniel Espinosa directed the film for Marvel and Sony with Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless as the screenplay writers. The character is based on the Marvel comics written by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. The film is set to release on January 28, 2022, in the US.

The film is not yet rated or released on any other platform. No critical review is available of the film.

When Is Morbius Releasing Theatrically?

The upcoming superhero flick of Sony; Morbius, will officially release in theatres in the US on January 28, 2022. The film was set to be released originally on July 10, 2020. The distributing company, Sony, moved the release date to July 31, 2020, due to a post-production delay.

The film was again delayed from March 19, 2021, to October 8, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Then the release dates were again changed from its October release to the next year’s January release on 21. However, on last change was made to the release date as January 28 was finalized as the release date for the much-awaited film.

The film will follow Dr. Michael Morbius and his trial to find a cure for a rare blood disease from which he suffers. However, his plans go awry, and he gets infected with a form of vampirism.

What To Know Before Watching Morbius?

The upcoming Sony-Marvel flick will focus on the recurring Spider-Man villain named Morbius, the living vampire. The film follows a biochemist named Michael Morbius, who tries to find a cure for himself as he is suffering from a rare blood disease.

He is dangerously ill with this disease and is very determined to save others from suffering the same fate as him. He attempts something which is as dangerous as his disease. It first appears to be a radical success. However, the cure becomes a bane of his existence as the remedy turns out to be worse than his illness. He gets infected with a form of vampirism. The cure-turned-bane turns him into a living vampire.

Jared Leto and Charlie Shotwell portray the main character of the adult and child version of Dr. Michael Morbius. Leto is joined by the main ensemble cast comprising of Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal and Tyrese Gibson.

The supporting cast includes:

Where to Watch Morbius Online?

After the release time of the movie is over, the film will release on Netflix and on Disney’s Disney Plus and Hulu for the audience to watch in the comfort of their homes. However, the release dates have not been finalized yet.
