Previously, we saw Murdoch heading to Montreal in search of Anna Fulford and her son. He is under strict surveillance, and he ain’t dumb not to notice that. The Black Hand is keeping a keen eye on him. Freddie Pink is assisting Murdoch on this case. Later on, the audience is left in awe when Freddie confesses that she was the one helping Anna escape.
In Toronto, we saw Dr. Ogden takes care of a wealthy donor who was later diagnosed with a brain tumor. Crabtree is forced to marry a captor so that Effie Newsome can be freed. Watts has received a case of murder and cremation of a Japanese woman. According to the family, the husband did all this, but the husband denies all these false accusations. He even had an alibi.
In the second episode, we see Murdoch is forced to save the life of someone who turns out to be his ex-lover. They both have a son. In order to save her life, he had to sign a deal with the Black Henchman.
The third episode was titled Manhunt. Mudrock was seen keeping a close eye on Inspector Giles. He was basically pursuing him.
The fourth episode of the show was titled Blood on the Tracks. Brackenreid and Ogden were seen getting engaged in a case. These two were finally concluding their search for the murderer, but then, they suspect that all this was done intentionally so that the identity of the actual criminal stays hidden.
