There are a few days left for an amazing game, and that’s when LeMarcus, a quarterback, and Emmett Sunday go on a break. They turn their backs to the championship, and that’s something that nobody anticipated.
They have backed down from the game because they want to stand for a protest which is all about how the students who are going there as athletes never receive the compensation regardless of the fact that football is a really wealthy sport. And seeing them, many of the athletes follow them and go on a strike.
Coming Of The Movie
The coming of the movie was not seen at all. You can say that it came out of nowhere. The movie is directed by Ric Roman Waugh. He’s known for many other movies which have been loved by the audience.
The story about the players going on a strike is a true story, and it’s something that genuinely happens, but then not many of them get to address this problem. The movie does have a lot of heroes and definitely a lot of heroines, but then when the college group joins in, that’s when the problem arises.
What Do The Fans Have To Say About Marcus?
Marcus James has qualities that make him faithful and noble but then his character was not liked much because of the flaws the character was not much in demand. He has the qualities of being dishonest, and self-centered too. He’s also considered as one who is about the ladies.
There’s a funny story here too, he was affected by COVID-19, and he was so attracted to people that he transferred the infection too. But he’s right in one place; the thing about not paying the athletes for their hard work is something really unfair. They injure their bodies and leave the college being good players but then what’s in the future?
The Characters And Their Acting
James was regarded as one who is a very good actor. And is well known for getting into the character entirely. Emmett, too was a good character as he stayed very loyal as a good buddy and is willing to stand by his friends no matter what comes into their path.
Apart from the friendship scenes here, we are also well versed with coach J. K. Simmons. He seems to believe that this game will definitely be the great champion of his life. His life is disrupted, too, as his wife is leaving him for a college professor who works in the same college where he’s working as a coach. And it’s because of his over-energetic speeches that James started this revolt.
The Coach
Simmons’ character here is a very sympathetic one, but then he’s still putting up his hopes for the game. And just when his personal life is a total mess. It’s definitely a movie worth watching that tells you the bare truth about the reality and the hardships that the athletes and others associated with them face.
