Navarasa: Is it Worth Watching or Not?

NAVARASA is an Indian anthology series by Mani Ratnam, and he collaborated with Jayendra Panchpakesan to produce the series. The series is released in Tamil and Telugu audio with subtitles on Netflix. There are nine episodes, and each episode explores the nine human emotions of Indian aesthetic theory. The episodes are not interrelated to each other, and every episode has a different story. It is like nine short stories. The story has a direct message to the viewers’ karma,’ i.e., what you do to others will come back to you today or tomorrow.

His nine emotions are:- ‘KARUNA – COMPASSION,’ ‘HAASYA – LAUGH,’ ‘ADBHUTHA – WONDER,’ ‘BIBHASTA – DISGUST,’ ‘SHAANTHA – PEACE,’ ‘RURDRA – ANGER,’ ‘BHAYAANAKA – FEAR,’ ‘VEERA – VALOUR,’ ‘SHRINGAARA – ROMANCE.’

Worth Watching or Not

Navarasa: Is it Worth Watching or Not?

NAVARASA gained huge reviews for both positive and negative from viewers. Navarasa got a rating of 9.0 on IMDB and 4.7/5 on Google. Episode 1 is based on karuna. It tells us about a young man who did injustice to his brother. In Episode 2 story is based on a laugh. The story revolves around a famous actor who shared about his school life. Episode 3, based on agni, was very interesting. This episode narrates the story of a philosopher who shared his thoughts on the human subconscious. Episode 4 of bibhasta depicted people’s egos and hatred towards others, and the way it was shown was too realistic. Finally, episode 5 is based on peace.

The story is about a young boy who asked for help from the soldiers who faced danger rescuing the boy. Episode 6 of anger was also too good. They showed anger both in men and women, and both of them did their tasks very efficiently. Episode 7, based on fear, the story shows the struggle of a lady. Episode 8 was based on courage; the story revolves around ‘VEERA,’ which has been asked to take a young to police headquarters. The last episode was based on romance, and the story is about a musician who wanted to restart his career in foreign and falls in love with women.

The series has a very powerful climax from starting to end. It has powerful female and male characters who are well known for their previous films, making the series more interesting. And even all nine directors are well known for their works that make it more interesting to watch. Not only the present youth but also the older adults are finding it interesting to watch. I would always recommend you to watch a series then judge it good or bad.

Sequel Planned

Navarasa: Is it Worth Watching or Not?

Navarasa is recently released by Netflix and gain huge appreciation. Many people loved Navarasa. Some said all episodes were too good, and some said only a few episodes were good. Netflix has not officially confirmed anything about season 2 of the series. But many fans are expecting the sequel as season 1 is named Navarasa volume 1, and since all nine episodes have different production teams so might be possible for a sequel. Even some fans are eagerly waiting for season 2. Netflix might wait for 2 to 3 months and then take any decision regarding season 2.

The only word in the dictionary which can describe Lokesh well is "Curious". He is a man who sits in the corner of a café, sipping his coffee and watch others and write about them having a good time. Addicted to bettering himself each day. An impressive introvert who finds his home in the places he travels. It's either the power of universe or sunsets that sets his soul free. In between, He can be found wrapped in his own bubble, knitting stories even before the sun rises!
