Just as we were suspecting the, Now You See Me franchise to never come back with a sequel to their second movie, they gave us some good news, a light in the darkness of this pandemic. Now You See Me (the first one) came as an exciting mystery movie involving a close clique of magicians solving unspeakable deeds. However, this movie had, in a way, a ridiculous plot, and it was no doubt that it was meant for a younger audience.
It received a lot of mixed reviews, the positive ones primarily coming from a younger age group. As the hierarchy in the demographic went up, people gave it lesser and lesser stars on IMDb. But the franchise decided to amend the mistakes they made with the first movie and released a second one in 2016, our wizard boy Daniel Radcliffe (the child actor in Harry Potter) being one of the four magicians this time.
The story from the first movie continued, giving us more insight into the evil mind of the magicians, who seek justice outside the hands of the law. Again, this movie was met with mixed reviews, but it was a little better than the first one. But after the tragic impression the franchise set in the minds of its viewers, they had a hard time getting people to buy tickets for the sequel (yes, buying movie tickets was still a thing in 2016, it seems like a distant memory now), and the net grossing amount fell significantly.

The Release Date
Sadly, for the fans of this movie, we have not yet heard of a release date, and no rumors are to be in the whiff. The script for this movie is still in the process of being written, and aside from Daniel Radcliffe and Lizzy Caplan, the cast of four has not been finalized yet. This leaves us very little in terms of returning characters and the plotline. But that being said, fans suspect a September release for the trailer of Now You See Me 3.
The Official News has been Released
Even before the franchise came out with the second movie, they had already announced a third one confidently. Up until now, we all thought it would never happen (it has been five years already), but just in 2020, they revealed that they would make a sequel and then apologized heartily for the delay. For some time in the news, the rumor flooded that Benedict Cumberbatch would add their cast for season 3. This, unfortunately, happened to be untrue.
A Chinese spin-off
To add to the cultural fan base of the show, the production house (Lionsgate) has announced a Chinese spin-off to the third movie. They think people in China will fall in love with it. But that was left in 2016 as well, and no news has been of it since.
