As Julia progresses with her life at the Second Chance, she finds out several other teens of her age at the memory center who are replete with talents such as Szymon, a dancer; Iza, an affable artist, and sports pink hair. Pawel, an expert of electronics and computers, and Magda, a talented singer who is suffering from paranoid schizophrenia. Everyone relies on the medication for their treatment, and everyone has a task to complete and isn’t spoon-fed.

While taking therapy sessions from Dr. Zofia Morulska, director of the memory center, Julia realizes that she is suffering from retrograde amnesia and anterograde amnesia and becomes aware that a supercomputer runs the entire system at the memory center.

As the story progresses, Julia starts getting dreams which she feels are real and meanwhile also sees a girl named Ruda whom others can’t see and is told that her parents died after a fire accident in her house. One day when police speak to Julia, she is told that they are dubious about the fact that someone had intentionally set fire to Julia’s house.

Jula Finds the Supercomputer

After Madga’s death already suspicious, Julia becomes wanting to find out the truth. Eventually, she ends up finding the supercomputer where it is kept with the help of Anelka and realizes that the computer is in a room that appears to be a morgue where all the body seems like breathing and finds out that her real name is Karolina. Next, she and Adam try escaping the memory center to find out the truth about her house that wasn’t burnt, and she plunges herself into a lake. In the climax, she wakes up at the hospital and is told that her father dies, but her mother is still alive and was in a coma for two weeks at the center; not accepting what she is being told, she realizes with her hallucinations that something had happened to her while she was sleeping.

Julia gets Some Revelations

After waking up, Karolina is gifted a book titled Magda, who wakes up from the coma and whose real name is Janina ‘Druga Szansa’ by Zygmunt. On reading the book, Julia discovers a picture of the building, which is akin to the Memory center.

Julia Sees the Red-Eyed Girl

The red-eyed girl named Ruda that Julia sees happens to be her sister Patrycja, asking her sister Julia to embrace death and get out of the world. So, Julia finally sets herself from the complex world of the memory center, where the talents of the young are built and are then transferred to the children of wealthy people.

The Climax of the Story

Julia learns that all of the people who died were not strong enough to keep themselves with the fate of losing their talents. Hence Julia decides to return to the second chance to save her friends from meeting the same fate as Szymon and help them get themselves out of the labyrinth world of the second chance.

the storyline of Open Your Eyes is suspenseful and impacting where one remains glued to the unfolding mysteries of Julia and the second chance along with her friends from the center. The show offers a weird teen drama with a tone resembling that of the gossip girl or elite series, the first episode of the show is quite slow, doesn’t build the expected thrill, and should have been a bit faster. Still, the pace of excitement raises as the story rolls up in the second chapter.

STREAM IT: In our call, the thrills and rip-roaring psychological adventure of Julia and her friends, along with the mystery of the Second Chance, is a one-time watch for sure. Moreover, the performance delivery of the young actors is stupendous; all the time, the story keeps you on wrong-footing and keeps you curious about the story proceeds.

The storyline is gripping and demands constant brainstorming on the part of the audience, who strives to know what will happen, the secrecy which this show offers is engaging enough to keep oneself stretching to the end of the series. However, it still left the audience with several questions yet unanswered, which demands a follow-up to the first season.
