Pray Away is an American documentary-based film that was produced and directed by Kristine Stolakis. The documentary by Kristine revolves around the survivors of the conversion treatment, and some previous leaders grapple with their actions against others. In Hollywood, Jason Blum and Ryan Murphy are well-known producers who are behind the Pray Away movie’s production.

Blum is famed for his work on films like Whiplash, Get Out, and others, and he has won several awards. Aside from Running with Scissors, Memoir, and The Normal Heart, Ryan Murphy is famous for various films. Pray Away first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival on 16th June this year globally! This was before when Netflix officially acquired the filming rights for the movie. The movie has also been screened at the AFI Docs.

Is it Worth it to Watch Pray Away or not?

Netflix’s Pray Away franchise has been very popular with viewers. Rotten Tomatoes gives Pray Away an “approval” rating of 94 percent based on 32 reviews with an average rating of 8.40 out of 10. According to the review aggregator, Pray Away, a film that examines the harm caused by so-called conversion treatment, was both its subjects and its proponents in terms of performance. Metacritic, a review aggregator, gives the film 71 out of 100, based on six critics’ opinions.

Transformative therapy’s impact on people from different backgrounds is explored in this film. John Paulk had become a national sensation after proclaiming to have put aside his homosexual life, and Julie Rodgers underwent conversion therapy after being out to her mother at the age of 16 are also featured in the film.

But these notions aren’t history. Jeffrey McCall makes his debut appearance in Pray Away. The transgender guy approaches strangers in a strip mall parking lot to tell them about his background as a transgender woman and his choice to “follow the Lord.” However outdated they may appear, McCall’s “Freedom March” and the “ex-gay” movement suggest that this harmful tendency isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

As for the question of whether or not you should watch the movie? It would be best if you watched it, then. Pray Away is a must-see if you enjoy thriller documentaries. For the people who aren’t aware, the Pray Away series is available to watch officially on Netflix, so if you are planning to watch it, then you binge over to Netflix for the movie. If you have watched the movie, share your thoughts about the movie with us in the comment section below.

Will there be any Sequel Planned for Pray Away? And about Cast and Plot?

Support for Pray Away has been overwhelming, despite its recent release on Netflix. As a result, a Netflix renewal proposal is most likely to be approved. Netflix has yet to announce the sequel movie, so it’s hard to anticipate the plot, but it’s safe to assume that the bulk of the original actors will return. If Netflix publishes any additional information about the film, we’ll keep you posted.

The only word in the dictionary which can describe Lokesh well is "Curious". He is a man who sits in the corner of a café, sipping his coffee and watch others and write about them having a good time. Addicted to bettering himself each day. An impressive introvert who finds his home in the places he travels. It's either the power of universe or sunsets that sets his soul free. In between, He can be found wrapped in his own bubble, knitting stories even before the sun rises!
