The 2021 sequel to the musical comedy Sing of 2016, Sing 2, has been penned and written by Garth Jennings. Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy have produced it for the production company Illumination. The movie has an ensemble cast of Scarlett Johansson, Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey, Taron Egerton, Nick Kroll, Nick Offerman, Tori Kelly and others.
The movie had its world premiere on November 14, 2021, at the AFI Fest. It has garnered this far mixed reviews from the critics. So let’s look at what our critics have to say about it, and is it really worth the watch or not?

Making its way back almost after five years, Sing 2 was released recently on December 22, 2021, in the US and is scheduled for the same on January 28, 2022, in the UK. The movie has been praised for its enhanced animated details that were lacking in its predecessor, but the story is nothing new about cute little animals singing and dancing joyfully.
Despite having a starry voice cast, the movie seems somewhat similar to animals taking the stage to sing. Still, it’s a new villain entry; a few comebacks from the previous edition and face-paced action scenes are surely meant to keep the audience entertained.
The movie has a bunch of life lessons to teach us before it proceeds towards the conclusion- dealing with a loss, overcoming the fears amd chasing the dreams no matter how big or small they are- the movie has it all! The movie will surely leave some positive vibes this festive season.

The sequel is not an earth-shattering one, but its feel-good vibes, strong cast, catchy tracks, and bright animation definitely make it a perfect family watch this holiday season. The movie has been opened on big screens and is not available on any of the streaming platforms like Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video and others. However, whenever the time is right, that is almost six months or so, the movie can make its first on HBO Max and then head to other services. In many countries, the movie will premiere even later in 2022.
Also, the movie is not available on VOD service providers until now, and a little wait shall be favorable.
