Until now, there have been many actual life events-based movies, and viewers have given quite a great response towards these. After looking at the elevation in the likings for such kinds of movies, production companies have thought of bringing forward reality-based movies. Not only this, but some also go for series and films, which in total could bring out the real effect through the use of cinematic directions. About the Movie!
The movie came out from its premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, and Netflix bought it. The Stronghold movie had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival of 2021 on July 12. Studiocanal will be releasing the film Stronghold in theatres in France on August 18, while it will come on Netflix on September 17.
The Plot of Stronghold!
The movie focuses on the life of three detectives who are part of Marseille’s anti-crime unit, which is known as BAC Nord. And the turn of events takes place when these officers receive order and pressure from their superiors to find out the drug dealing in the area just as to expose a significant drug network. The operation has to go with many tests, including their moral and professional check. But unfortunately, these officers get arrested for their corruption indulgence. The movie has many fight scenes and those high-speed chasing movements where you will be kept on the edge.
It was back in 2012 when 18 police officers from the BAC Nord unit were put behind bars because they were accused of racketeering and drugs cases. At that point in time, the crime rate was roaring quite high, which had caused huge trouble in the city. And were these officers the real-life heroes or not? This question will be answered by the movie itself only when you watch it on Netflix. Unfortunately, the movie will not be available elsewhere.
