No one expected Foo Fighters to star in a movie and to top that, a horror-comedy movie. It came as a surprise to everyone when Studio 666 was announced, starring the members of the Grammy-winning Rock band, Foo Fighter’s members, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee as themselves. I mean -hello?!
Grohl admitted in an interview that he never intended to star in a movie but when he moved into the mansion the movie is shot in, things just clicked and he came up with this backbone story which was then perfected by screenwriter, Jeff Buhler, who also wrote the Pet Cemetery and Rebecca Hughes.
The movie was directed by BJ McDonnell, who did a splendid job in giving us some amazing cinematography, and just to put you on edge & craving for more, John Carpenter is a guest star. Also, he wrote the THEME SONG!
It is opening in theatres on February 25th, 2022 with some more amazing supporting actors like Whitney Cummings from Two Broke Girls, Leslie Grossman from 10 Thing I Hate About You, Will Forte from MacGruber, Jenna Ortega from Stuck in the Middle, and Jeff Garlin from The Goldbergs

Stream it or skip it?
The movie lasts for almost 2 hours and is a treat for all Foo Fighter fans. We get to see a different side of the Rock band.
A horror-comedy seems to be the weirdest of combinations- like pineapple on Pizza. Some dig it, some just hate the idea so much, they never try it. So, Studio 666 might not really amaze you with the story that doesn’t lean too much on either side. But if you are a fan of the Foo Fighters, you’ll love it!
When and Where to Watch it?
The movie is opening in theatres, exclusively, on February 25, 2022, by Open Road Films. There is no official announcement of when the movie will be available on online streaming or for rent on VOD. Don’t worry, we’ll update you with the latest updates so you don’t miss out!
