Survive the Game is yet another addition to the list of movies in which the drug bust goes awry. It is a low-budget film without any redeeming qualities that make it distinguishable. The plot, acting, and even the filming is not up to the mark, and it accounts for another of failed Bruce Willis’ efforts. But, as a viewer writes, “it is not the worst Bruce Willis movie either.”

The movie pits together two cops and a grieving former military vet, opposite to the criminals. If you get a feeling of rendezvous with the movie, it is because Bruce Willis and Chad Michael Murray have worked together for a similar action flick, Survive the Night. And, given that even the posters lack distinguishable characteristics between the two thrillers and look like a copy-paste for this one, it seems that one is not trying to do anything new or distinct here.

After the drug bust fails and the gunshot wounds David (Bruce Willis), it leaves the other cop Cal (SwenTemmel), to pursue Violet and Mickey’s violent assailants. Violet dons a cosplay of Harley Quinn, and fans point that it may be because nothing in their character points out that they own a personality. The cosplaying definitely entertains more than the plot or action sequences in the movie.

The movie’s plot is subdued with repetition, but the relentless shooting and fighting are much better than seeing the characters run a dialogue or conversation, which is much more irking. But, not the worst 2021 Bruce Willis movie, which one can be grateful for.

Bruce Willis and SwenTemmel play the cops David and Cal, respectively. Chad Michael Murray plays the former military vet, Eric, who lives on a farm. Sean Kannan plays Ed, and Kate Katzman plays Violet. Sarah Roemer plays Hanna, Donna D’Errico plays Carly, and Zack Ward plays Mickey. Lionsgate Films distribute the film.

What is the Plot of Survive the Game About?

David and Cal, the two cops, go on a drug bust, which leaves David wounded due to a gunshot wound. Cal begins to pursue the assailants, which take them to a remote farm that Eric, a former and troubled vet, owns. Cal and Eric work together to defend themselves against the assailants and capture them as other gang members make it to the farm. David, Cal, and Eric are outnumbered, but they need to use their wit, marksmanship, and stealth to bring the drug dealers down.

Survive the Game is a Bruce Willis action-thriller flick. You can watch it in the theatres from October 8, 2021.

Seriously, did no one get yet that this a brilliant comedy? A hilarious parody of an action movie? Bravo to Bruce! The guns that no one picks up EVER, the pursuit in the garden (omg, the yellow rope snare scene 😂), and the best – the scene in the house between Bruce and the guy with the gun – ‘I’ll sit down, if you’ll sit down’, and ‘Drop the gun! – Drop the chair!’. I could go on, but I just can’t stop laughing
