Not many movies have seen such pressure and attention regarding its release date as Christopher Nolan’s upcoming ‘Tenet‘.
Of course, this is a frustrating amount of expectation to place on any given film. Even if it is a 200$ million highly anticipated blockbuster created by a director appreciated and lauded by both fans and critics.
When is it Releasing?
There were other major blockbuster movies that were set to hit theatres before Christopher Nolan’s film. Well, they have all been delayed with new release dates. Whereas, the studios ponder hard over whether people will really venture out to movie theatres.
Tenet was initially scheduled for a July 17, 2020 release. Even though Nolan was trying desperately pushing for the film to air on the set date. However, it still got delayed to September. Even after that, the movie isn’t able to release in some countries because of the worsening effects of coronavirus.
And the release date isn’t confirmed now.
Cast Details
Christopher Nolan’s Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki in lead roles and many more famous names.
David Washington plays The Protagonist, yes, that’s the name of his character in the movie. He holds the fate of the world in his hands, and once again we’ll be seeing the extreme genius of Nolan’s time play.
Robert Pattison plays Nell, who has the professor’s brain for heists and plus a physics master’s degree. He is also going to appear as the new Batman , soon in the DC universe.
Also, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Ives.
Kenneth Branagh as Andrel Sator plays an important role as he is the only one who has the knowledge of the truth of inversion.
We will also see a Bollywood actress, Dimple Kapadia playing Priya. Who is The Protaganist’s way to the world of weapons. Kapadia is one of the most famous names in Bollywood and she’s acting in the industry since she was 14.
In supporting characters we will see Clémence Poésy as Laura, Sir Michael Caine as Sir Michael Crosby, Martin Donovan as Victor, Fiona Dourif as Wheeler. Among other names are Laurie Shepherd, Anthony Molinari, Andrew Howard and Wes Chatham.
What will be the plotline?
What we previously thought would be espionage. The movie meets Robert Pattinson successfully debunking time travel.
Also, he said in a GQ profile in may that time travel is not a plot point.
Two trailers have been released till now. What we can gather from them is that Washington and Pattinson’s characters are working on a mission.
A key word -tenet- is also there which will help Washington get more information but also could lead him to a dangerous road.
There are scenes running backwards in time, cars flipping backwards and then running on he roads. Its even said that the action scenes of the movie were actually shot in reverse action. The edit was not reversed.
From Nolan’s past movies- Inception, Interstellar and the most recent, Dunkirk, we know that this will be another mind-boggling epic, action-pack release that will have viewers clutching to the edges of their seats desperate to figure out how the movie will unravel.
