Michael Showalter has adapted a brilliantly carved work that was originally presented in 2000. It talks about the legacy of a woman who relies on her husband’s world and gathers a string of supporters.
The best part of this movie is Jessica Chastain playing the main lead. The story of Jessica started in 2011 when she moved from small screen to big screen and showcased her talent in her 30s but acquired a lot of appraisals by playing three beautifully carved roles that year which was all about a wife. Though she played a wife’s character, all three were drastically different from each other, and she even got nominated for an Oscar award.
The next year she went for another Oscar nomination with Zero Dark Thirty. Later went on with playing numerous characters that were challenging yet appreciable at that time.

Her husband introduces her to a world of industries and ambition via preaching through a small screen. This causes them to choose a path towards fame, but suddenly a scandal drags them down to the core.
Plot Holes in the Movie
Even though the performance of these characters is beautiful, there are still some parts of the story that seem too restrained or too polite in their expression and thus seem unrooted from their real path. Even though the protagonists have done their best to present the characters, the movie can’t follow the path throughout. Writer Sylvia has added some layers to the character, while the protagonist of this story adds some.
