The Good Doctor was postponed for what feels like the longest of time due to ABC’s new show, Promised land being canceled after only 5 episodes due to its poor rating. But now the new episode of The Good Doctor is finally airing on February 28, 2022, and I am eagerly waiting like a child on Christmas to unwrap this episode!
Based on ‘Good Doctor’ by Park Jae-bum, the series has a total of 5 seasons to date and 83 episodes. It did well on its release and became the most-watched Monday drama since the previous one in 1996.

In the previous episode called everyone is growing wearier and wearier of Salen in the hospital due to her incompetency. Especially Dr. Audrey Lim, who wants to expose Salen for the unnecessary death of the premature infant. Meanwhile, Dr. Marcus Andrews seems to be taking Salen’s side which together with Shaun seeing them talking while holding hands arouses the suspicion of the two datings. Shaun confronts Dr. Marcus Andrews about his suspicions.
Meanwhile, the team is at a crossroads about their opinions on plastic surgery as each has their own beliefs and no one wants to back down. Shaun has canceled his wedding with Lia after he caught her scuffling through his medical records which made him doubt Lia’s feelings for him.
What to Know Before Watching?
The new episode of The Good Doctor season 5 is titled, “Rebellion” and the already rising tension between all the characters in the previous episode is sure going to be addressed- Hopefully.
With the wedding canceled, the trailer shows Shaun confronting Lia. Will a greater purpose be revealed as her reason to go through his medical records? However, Shaun seems to be too preoccupied already with the death of the premature baby and Salen.
Salen, the new owner of St Bonaventure, was the reason for the death of a premature baby and Dr. Marcus Andrews is set on exposing her before she buried the truth forever. We will definitely see questions being raised and opinions put on the tables according to how the previous episode ended.
Shaun has to confront two people, Lea and Dr. Marcus Andrews to clear his doubts. This could possibly lead to greater problems for him as Salen is now the new owner of the hospital or she could be exposed and this episode will be the last we see of Salen? But who knows, it’s still midseason and so much more drama could be awaiting.
