The Sound Of Music Synopsis

The story’s central character is Maria, a young girl who dreams of becoming a nun at Nonnberg Abbey. Having been in the Abby, her lack of discipline and enthusiasm did not find favor with the Abby members. Consequently, she is sent to serve as governess at the mansion of aged veteran officer Captain Georg Trapp.

As the Captain’s wife had died, his children were raised under strict military discipline, which included Liesl, Friedrich, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta. After the mother dies, the kids have bad times. Maria’s kindness and patience allowed her to gradually gain the children’s trust and respect, despite her issues with getting along with them.

All agree to hold the party if they can host it in the villa, as long as the Captain grants their request. Maria was telling Kurt about the Ländler folk dance the night of the part when the Captain stepped up and partnered with Maria.

Maria broke into tears in between blushing and being uncertain of how she felt. As soon as Maria notices Captain’s attraction for her, she convinces her to return to the abbey. In order to restart her life, she encourages Maria to return to the villa to rebuild her life. Mother Abbess learns that Maria’s seclusion was motivated by her feelings for the Captain.

When Maria hears Mother Abbess’s voice, she is surprised to learn that the Captain is engaged to the Baroness and will remain with them while a suitable lady is found. Despite the fact that he was about to get engaged, she was still infatuated with our hero after he ended the engagement and then finally married her.
