When Calls the Heart is running on its 9th installment now with a huge fanbase called Hearties. I don’t think the show is ending anytime soon. It never fails to trend on Twitter with each new episode and the Hearties Family Reunion, a fan convention that takes place in Vancouver never skipping the summer of its production.
The new season, season 9 of When Calls the Heart first aired on, Sunday, March 6th, 2022. Housing many of the same casts from the previous season except for a few characters here and there.
Season 8 ended with Elizabeth choosing Lucas over Nathan as she had been fiddling over the two through the season. This was especially hard for her because she was not only choosing a partner but also a father to her child. This season we will get to see more of the couple and the impacts of her decision.
Season 9, Episode 1, Recap
Many things are changing around the town. Old shops were replaced by new ones. The street is bustling with new businesses and new people moving into the town. We introduced new charcoal called Mei Suo, a trained and licensed chemist who had to pretend to be a man to get hired.
This new character was also able to calm Nathan’s horse after the hit-and-run accident and was able to tend to its wound while Elizabeth couldn’t. Perhaps we will see a relationship building between Nathan and the Mei Suo this season.
Meanwhile, the mayoral election is in full swing with Lee Coulter, Bill Avery, and Mike Hickam ready on the track. Who will become the new Mayor of the town and how will it affect the town?
Season 9 Episode 2 Prediction: Out Like A Lamb
Episode 2 of Season 9 is directed by Peter DeLuise and written by John Tinker. After what we saw in episode 1, in episode 2 we can expect a mayor to be elected by the town while Nathan has forgotten the whole incident of him being on an accident and heck, himself too. With Nathan having a memory loss and a new character, Mei Sou being able to calm his horse, it is most probable that he will fall in love with her but memories come back right?
One of the previous directors of the show also hinted that the show is currently in its industrialization era and this will be seen in the story plot and how the characters are affected by it.
How Many Episodes Are There in When Calls the Heart Season 9?
There are a total of 12 episodes this season. It can be considered one of the longest seasons of the popular series. The first episode is titled “In Like A Lion”, the second episode is titled “Out Like A Lamb”, the third episode is titled, “Turn Of The Page” and the fourth episode is titled, “Straight From The Heart” while the titles of the remaining episodes have not been announced yet.
