This is an amazing 2019 movie which was a musical movie, and though it was a teen comedy, it was loved by all age groups. The Cinderella stories have had many makeovers, and you could say that this was the fifth one in line with the former stories.
What Is The Movie About?
Katherine Decker who is also known as Kat who is a beautiful girl in her teens who has a dream of becoming a singer. But when her father, Mr Jason, expires, she’s urged to live with her cruel stepmother, Deirdra. She has two very lazy daughters, too, named Joy and Grace. They made Katherine work for them and took away her property too. Katherine just wanted to work hard and save money to flee from this place.
Katherine’s Life
Katherine used to work as a singer, and she had a best friend too, her name was Isla. They worked at Santa land, a Christmas park. The workers there are introduced to the new Santa, Dominic, who is a billionaire and a beloved son of Terrence Wintergarden. Dominic sees Katherine’s performance here, and he’s totally glued to her.
Deirdra’s Cruel Plans
Deirdra uses Katherine’s fathers’ reference to enter a charity event that was hosted by Terrence. And things turn out to be in their favour seeing Katherine’s father’s name here. And being a widow to Jason, she earns a good place in Terrence’s mind.
Meanwhile, Dominic and Katherine see each other, and he invites her to the Wintergarden charity event, and she agrees to come. He reveals his original identity to her the following day, but she still keeps her identity hidden. She doesn’t wish to go to the event, but her friend, Isla, sends her off with a beautiful green dress to join the event.
Deirdra’s Plan To Spoil Katherine’s Invite
As Deirdra decides to burn Katherine’s invitation, she leaves Katherine in a very bad state of mind, and she calls up Isla to tell her about what’s been happening here at her end. Dominic had invited her to sing at his place, but there she doesn’t feel welcomed and even Dominic’s girlfriend, Skyler. And then Katherine leaves the place.
Katherine Sees Her Father’s Snow Globe
At the charity event, Katherine sees the snow globe that belonged to her father. And she wishes to take it back, but in the process, she breaks it, and the step family leaves her heartbroken there.
