The kids much love this movie, but it just doesn’t stop there; the adults love this movie equally. This movie was released in the year 2011. And it happens to be an interesting Christmas movie that also involves science fantasy.
What is the Movie About?
As the name suggests, it’s an amazing Christmas movie with Arthur Claus’s character. He’s none other than the beloved son of Santa Claus. He discovers a major problem that his father is facing; he decides to help him out all by himself and a close team formed by him. The movie has received a great response from the audience and is still amongst the Christmas favorites.
Why is the Story Different?
We all know that Christmas is that time of the year when we depend on Santa to bring forth our favorite gifts. This Santa named Malcolm Claus is on his way to performing the yearly ritual of distributing those gifts. But this Santa is a little high-tech.
He’s not on a reindeer and sledge. He has a vessel that is operated by several elves that use advanced equipment and deliver the gifts to the kids. Malcolm gets his help from his elder son, Steve, who manages the operations and his younger son, Arthur, replies to those letters addressed to Santa.
What Went Wrong?
During one of such operations, a toy starts buzzing that wakes up the child, and Santa was just about to be revealed. And to prevent that from happening, an elf presses a button, and that’s when Santa gets saved, but a present falls, and nobody notices that. Later, the elf, Bryony, finds out that the gift is missing. It was a bicycle which was for a little girl. And Arthur had responded to her letter himself. Steve accepts that one error amongst so many deliveries is possible, and that’s ok.
The Grave Mistake
Malcolm’s father, the Grandsanta, urges Arthur to take the traditional reindeer and sledge and get the gift delivered on time. But then starts the real drama, Arthur faces many hurdles on his path, and he then realizes that nobody came forward to help him, not his grandfather, father, or brother Steve. Well, Steve was afraid that the efforts applied by Arthur might make him the next Santa!
So he backed out from helping him, but Arthur was determined that he would get to the girl, give her the gift and be back home.
