Home alone movies have always served as a major course of entertainment and have always kept the fans glued to their seats. Though it’s a 1990’s movie, to date, it’s an amazing choice to watch with family, friends and kids. The audience seemed to thoroughly enjoy the movie. This movie was released in the year 1992 and is the second movie in the home alone franchise. It has received a lot of appreciation from the audience.
What Is The Movie About?
Christmas in Miami!? Doesn’t this sound exciting? Well, of course, it does, as we see the McCallister family planning to do so. They meet at Peter and Kate’s home, which is in Chicago.
Their youngest child, Kevin, doesn’t feel that Florida is a good choice for Christmas because it lacks the basics – Christmas trees. In the school pageant, Kevin’s brother Buzz tries a prank on him, to which Kevin reacts by punching him, and this the program turns into chaos.
Buzz throws a false apology, and the family seems to accept that, and eventually, Kevin feels insulted for overdoing the prank. But now Kevin is disappointed and wants to spend Christmas alone. But the next day, the family overslept, and they had a flight to catch, so they started rushing.
Kevin’s Trip
Due to all the rushing, Kevin loses track of his family and has to board a flight to New York with Peter’s stuff. And when he reaches there, Kevin decides to move around a little and know about the place, and he’s frightened by the face of the woman who was feeding the pigeons there.
He goes back to the hotel and uses Peter’s card to get in. But three prisoners have just come out of the prison; they are named Wet Bandits, Harry and Marv, and now they are looking for someone to rob.
Christmas At New York
On Christmas Eve, Kevin goes to a toy shop and meets its owner, Mr Duncan. And there he gets to know that the profits earned from this shop will go for a good cause, such as a children’s hospital and for donations as well. But he sees Harry and Marv outside the store and rushes back to the hotel.
Kevin is then questioned about the stolen credit card by the hotel staff, and then he’s then attacked by Harry and Marv, who threaten to kill him and plan to go to the toy store that night to fetch the money. Kevin somehow manages to flee from there.
On the contrary, his family has reached Miami and are now looking for Kevin, and they file a missing report to find him.
