Following a television introduction in which children all across the world prepare for Santa’s coming, a mailman dubbed Special Delivery “S.D.” Kluger is featured. As his delivery van breaks down, he responds to multiple letters from kids by telling them about Santa.
The story starts inside the bleak metropolis of Sombertown, where the tyrannical Burgermeister Meisterburger reigns supreme. A newborn with the name “Claus” and a note asking that the Burgermeister nurture the infant appears in his doorway. The child would then be taken to the Orphan by his law keeper. The animated movie had always been a fun Christmas movie ever since the seventies!
The Voice of the Characters
Special Delivery Kluger is played by Fred Astair, Mickey Rooney as Kris Kringle/Santa Claus as an adult, Winter Warlock, Keenan Wynn, Miss Jessica/Mrs. Claus is played by Robie Lester. Burgermeister Paul Frees, Kringle Brothers, Meisterburger, Grimsley,Tanta Kringle is played by Joan Gardner. The children are Dina Lynn, Greg Thomas, Gary White, and Andrea Sacino, Greg Thomas in the role of Young Santa Claus/Kris Kringle.
The Timeline of the 70’s Movie
The special has indeed been published on DVD multiple times since 1989. Mariah Carey performed the title track on a CD single that was included in the Movie release in 2005. The feature also was officially part of a DVD boxed set that includes Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, as well as some other Christmas movies.
The feature was included on Blu-ray Disc in the very same DVD set in 2010. In 2015, the 45th Anniversary Collector’s Edition was a unique boxed set.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 93 percent approval rating, with both the critical opinion reading that Arriving with strobe cheeriness and the biggest musical moments, Santa Claus Is Comin To Town is a beautiful story presented via delightful wood-figure animation.
The book was not just adopted as a novel but also got a video game special too! There have been some extra elements inside the novel, but it’s unclear if these came from the writer’s mind or have been based on the actual script. This Dismal Woods is located at the base of Whisper Wind Mountains. Annette and Andy are the names of the little girl and kid Kris meets when he arrives.
