I was completely enamored by Tony Cavalero’s portrayal of Bea’s endearing fiancé Jayson, the star of The Righteous Gemstones. Cash and Harper are terrific, but Cavalero’s performance totally took me. Cavalero injects some heart into Jayson rather than just playing him as a ditz, even when he is supposed to be the comic relief. Cavalero’s offbeat charm was on display in Gemstones, but its groundedness is showcased here.
