Nine days is a supernatural drama story of judge Will who lives in an isolated house in the middle of a desert. Will judge unborn souls to decide whether they will inhabit a living body on earth or disappear. Kyo, a soul that didn’t disappear, is the only companion of Will, who spends his whole day watching the multitude of television screens and taking notes of the lives he chose. When Will’s favorite Amanda dies, he is left grappling with the new candidates waiting to be selected on the vacancy left by Amanda. All the candidates have to go through an interview process of nine days.
Finally, the selected candidate is born inhabiting a living body. The remaining candidate souls disappear, erasing their existence. Now will have to choose from the four candidates standing on his door to be born. Will questions each soul about life and selects one candidate based on their answers. Will develops a liking for Emma but selects another candidate to be born. Amidst these, Will meets another arbit who chose Amanda’s cousin to be born. She shows him a clip of Amanda’s suicide note which leaves Will shaken up.
Meanwhile, Emma leaves in the desert to disappear.
