Review
This film had a great start, but it lacked substance towards the middle. The performance of Kesley Grammar and Jackson White was fantastic, but the narrative got so sluggish and jarring this was unpleasant to see at points. The problem was that they had a wonderful personality, a nice tale, story clothing, and anything else, but they couldn’t use it.
Cory’s character had such possibility as a striving vocalist in a faltering group, but she is discarded from the storyline in the most implausible way conceivable. Michael Jackson’s daughter was cast in part anticipating that this would pique the public’s curiosity.
The finest part of this film was the lovely and brilliant Paris Jackson, who was barely shown. We like Kelsey Grammar, and that was interesting that they had him perform, and the first few tunes seemed hurried.
