Top Gun is an action drama movie that Tony Scott directs. This movie draws its inspiration from an article that was published in a magazine in California, three years ahead of the making of the movie. What is the Movie About?
At the beginning of the movie, we see that a navy pilot is flying over a Russian-built MiG and then suddenly snaps at a picture of an enemy pilot. Of course, it’s just a stunt, but this does make the pilot famous within that small group of navy personnel. The pilot’s code name is Maverick, and he is selected for the elite flying school.
The best graduate from each class is designated to be the “Top Gun.“ Maverick’s father was a very able navy jet pilot in the Vietnam era, but then his plane mysteriously disappeared, and the situation was unexplainable. And one of the instructors in the flying school was very much interested to know about how Maverick snapped that enemy pilot’s picture.
The Setting of the Movie
The movie is set in an alternating scenario where it switches between land and sky, and the scenes of the sky are by far the most commendable ones. In contrast, the scenes on the ground are predictable. The movie is thus into two parts, it’s done a great deal with the special effects, but there’s no thought about those in love, how they would react to this.
