On September 10, 2020, Netflix began streaming Julie and the Phantoms, an American musical comedy-drama television series developed by Dan Cross and David Hoge. The television show is based on Julie Fantasmas from Brazil. The show did not continue in December 2021 after one episode.
In the role of Julie Molina, played by Madison Reyes, a junior high musician who is having a hard time writing music following her mother’s passing; unwittingly calls forth the ghosts of a deceased 90s band known as Sunset Curve before changing their name to the Phantoms.
She finally starts playing music with the spirits in a band. The friendly ghosts take great care of Julie. Julie is the only person they can perform with for anyone to see them. They deceive the audience by claiming that these demons are actual people who play with Julie using advanced projectors.

The ghostly band, which is working with the human Julie to become famous, consists of pianist Alex (Owen Patrick Joyner), bassist Reggie (Jeremy Shada), and guitarist Luke (Charlie Gillespie). Additionally believed to have returned are Booboo Stewart playing Willie, Jadah Marie playing Flynn, Savannah May as Carrie, and the spooky Cheyenne Jackson as Caleb.
