A Discovery of Witches is a television series covering genres like fantasy, drama, and romance. It is based on the novel written by Deborah Harkness, All Souls Trilogy. It is a British series consisting of two seasons and eighteen episodes. Diana Bishop, played by Teresa Palmer, comes across a manuscript in the Bodleian Library. This discovery pushes her back into the magical world to resolve all the secrets the manuscript holds about the magic and the magical beings.
Matthew Clairmont, played by Matthew Goode, who plays a vampire role in the series, offers her help even though there has been an old long rivalry and mistrust between the witches and the vampires. We had seen the cast had started the shooting of the third season of A Discovery of Witches in around mid-2020 in Wales. And now we know they have announced a wrap on season 3. So naturally, this excites all the fans as the day is near when the release date of the third season of A Discovery of Witches would be officially announced soon. The release date is probably expected to be announced by September 2021.

There has been no announcement about the replacement of any cast members. We will see the leads, Teresa Palmer and Matthew Goode, return to the show. The second season was a cliffhanger; it left the fans with a lot of suspense and kept them wondering what happened next. The third season is based on Deborah’s final book of the trilogy. One thing’s for sure is that we are surely going to see a new member gets added to the family as Diana finds she is pregnant at the end of the second season. Also, there is a lot more in front of Diana and Matthew, more mysteries to be solved, and battles. Towards the ending of the second season, we saw Peter Knox, a witch, had attacked the Sept-Tours, which must have caused a lot of havoc and damage to the witches, demons, and vampires. Knox and Gerbert are both in search of the pages of the Book of Life. We may also see new enemies made or come up in the third season.
