The Black Comedy Series After Life has been creating a lot of buzz around its release. The series started in the year 2019 and ended its run this year after releasing its third and final season, wrapping up the show. The show is the work of Ricky Gervais. Ricky Gervais is not only directing but also producing and acting as the lead of the show. The series has received a great amount of success and positive reviews.

After Life Season 3 Review

The third season of After Life is all about understanding the concept of confronting grief, accepting it, and knowing that it’s a painful part of our lives, and it will always be there, but we need to keep moving because life never stops. The third season basically catches all the loose ends and gives it a final ending. It shows the lives of those around Tony and how the death of his wife has impacted those around him.

The whole series is eighteen episodes long and divided into three seasons. Each episode ranges for about thirty minutes. On the whole, the series is a good watch. It deals with real-life subjects and deals with them in all reality. It shows the character development of the main character, from not caring about anyone or anything to being accountable for their actions and accepting life.

The series is something where it’s not completely out of the box and can be skipped, but it’s a good watch and can be given a try. The series has received a positive response and also possesses high ratings. The topics of depression and suicide are also dealt with very well. It’s a family watch as well, so if you’re looking for something light yet deep, watching the afterlife would be a good choice.

What Our Critic Has To Say?

The series is compared to the teen drama series, thirteen reasons why as to confronting grief and emptiness, but in this case, it’s the elders and not teens. However, the series has received a lot of positive reviews because of the amazing acting and direction of the series. There are a few negative reviews stating that the series isn’t really outstanding but average.

A number of actors and actresses are involved in the series. Ricky Gervais is playing the main role of Tony Johnson, around whom the series revolves and his life after the death of his wife. Kerry Godliman is playing the role of Lisa Johnson, who is the wife of Tony, and she is shown through flashbacks.

Tom Basden is playing the role of Matt Braden, and he is Tony’s brother-in-law. Apart from these actors, there are many others involved in the cast in supporting roles.

Where To Watch The Series After Life?

The series is available on Netflix. Viewers with an active subscription with the streaming giant will be able to view the series. Apart from Netflix, there isn’t really any other platform that is offering the series currently. However, we can expect it to be on other platforms later on in the future.
