Chikyo TV and animation studio Sublimation are producing Shikizakura, an upcoming anime television series. Shinya Sugai directs the show. Go Kurosaki directs it, and Manabu Nakatake creates the character designs. The premiere date of October 2021 has been set. As part of Futabasha’s Monthly Action magazine, Shikizakura is adapted from various sources to complete the series. The anime series will join the recent ones that premiered earlier this month.
The series will be directed by Shinya Sugai and produced by Chukyo TV. Creating Ryoga Inoue’s character designs was Manabu Nakatake’s adaptation for animation, while Tomoyasu Nishimura produced it. Music and sound were composed and directed by Takumi Saitou. A single 30-minute episode was announced. Sentai Filmworks licensed this anime, which Asaka and May’n performed. The opening and ending theme songs are from BELIEVE MYSELF and Shikizakura.

A ritual will take place for two worlds to connect one day, aimed at saving the Earth. The ritual will take place in a special place, which is a place of sacred importance to humans.
The awakened student discovers that the enemy is an Oni in the midst of a battle. In their powered suits, Oni tortured and devoured humans. They rule the world by controlling humans. As the human’s study, they realize they can be protected from Oni with the powered suit “Yoroi.” Yuroi is a hybrid of ancient techniques and technology that Oni cannot match. People use the suit against the Oni in order to help themselves.
“Myojin Ouka” is the name of the shrine maiden who became a hero for saving the world by battling Oni and saving humans. Each year leaves bloom, and a shrine maiden named Ouka dances in the autumn. When this happens, the past and the future join, and the other side become visible.
When will Shikizakura Episode 1 Come Out?
The first episode is scheduled to be broadcast on 10th October this year. In the next episode, titled Hope and Start, the anime will continue.
