The anime, also known as Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut, is a Japanese science fiction- fantasy novel series penned by Keisuke Makino. The novel illustrated by Karei was released on Shogakukan magazine who published its several volumes. The television version was first premiered in October 2021.
Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu presents the confrontation between the Republic of Zirnitra and the United Kingdom of Arnak. Both the kingdoms eye on space for further expansion of their kingdoms and they begin a rat race, where we can see Zirnitra dominating Arnak because of the presence of Irina Luminesk, the vampire cosmonaut.

What was Previously on Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu?
The Republic on Zirnitra decides to use Irina Luminesk as their test subject to lead their project of obtaining their first human spaceflight. Lev is the main character in the series which is asked to assist Irina. However, things get topsy turvy when Lev gets infatuated with her. In the previous episode, Roza reminds Irina that she is the first vampire to explore space. This leads to a spat between Roz and Irina where Lev requests them to stop quarreling.
Anya and the team decide to analyze Irina’s body when she is sleeping. Anya also reminds Irina of her training when he visits her in the confinement cell. Lev inquires about Irina to Anya about her state. However, Anya replies that he is helpless as he did not hear anything about her. When both Irina and Lev meets, he asks her about the exam where she reiterates to him, not to worry. Because, in the committee meeting, nothing was decided regarding the matter of Lev.
The next day, Lev asks Anya to take care of Irina and leaves. Meanwhile, Irina inside her room gets reminded of the meeting where she remembers the guidelines given by the committee about her disposal date and the way of disposal. The committee also wants to protect state secrets. Anya and Irina are then shown preparing for New Year’s Eve.
