From the breaching of the walls of Shiganshina, Eren turning into a titan, and to the life beyond Paradis, Attack on Titan has it all, which an anime fan needs to keep them interested indulged in an anime. Here is a recap on what happens in season 4, episode 22 of Attack on Titan.

Recap of Episode 21

Episode 21 is titled “From you, 2000 years ago”. The episode mainly shows Ymir and how the Jeager brother fight for her powers. In the beginning, its seen as if Zeke has the upper hand and was manipulating Eren, but as the episode goes on, we see how Eren fooled Zeke and used him to obtain his goal.

The episode talks about Ymirs tragic life and experiences as the first titan and what happened to her after she died. Being the first titan, Ymir helped the eldians fight against the Marleyans and obtain a lot of land and wealth; she died protecting the kind and was later on fed to her kids, Sina, Maria, and rose.

Eren understands how Ymir feels, talks to her, and convinces her to stop and become free finally. With the revelation of Ymirs past and Erens plan, the episode surely does become one of the most surprising episodes of the anime. Still, the main talk of the episode Is how Eren gains Control of Ymirs founding titan, and Zeke becomes nothing but just a pawn to his plan.

With Eren gaining control of the founding, he controls the ability to talk to everyone who possesses the eldian blood and has the power to control all of the titans inside the walls that once protected Eren and the place he called home.

What Expected in Episode 22

With the episode releasing on Eren becoming the founding titan, he spans over more than hundreds if not thousands of feet, making all the other titans look like ants in front of him. Unfortunately, erens new titan has only been shown in the form of his head with his hair dangling down and a huge rib cage to be followed after that.

After Gabi shoots and splits his body and head, he falls into the hands of Zeke, initiating the blood fusion to become the founding titan. With Eren able to fool Zeke and after being able to convince Ymir, Eren becomes the founding titan and frees all the titans inside the wall. He communicated with all the eldians and began the rumbling making all the other humans anxious and scared for their lives.

With Falco eating the Jaws titan, he can finally transform back into his human form. Mikasa and Armin are assigned to protect him and watch him, but Connie has other plans with Falco. He fools him into thinking he will be taking him to safety, but the innocent kid does not realize that Connie wants to feed him to his mom to turn her back into a human.

After the episode goes on, Connie realizes he is a better human and that feeding a kid to get his mom back is something he can never do in a thousand years. However, erens rumbling continues to go on with a normal pacemaking its way past the oceans and whoever is left after the war in Paradis begins to find ways to stop the rumbling.

There is also a special person returning to the show after many seasons. The female titans’ host finally makes her appearance in the new episode, making it even more interesting.

Is Eren Stopped? Does the Rumbling Succeed?

With the beginning of the rumbling, it is sure that some casualties are bound to happen. It is not possible for an anime to not have its main arc stop without something or the other happening. With Erens rumbling and with plans of the survivors to stop it, it is sure that a final face of against Eren and the others is sure to happen, almost like a great titan war which has never happened before which will make the fights of the attack and armored titans look like young kids quarreling.

Every great anime also has a sad end. We might end up seeing one of the main characters of the story end up dying fighting against the founder, or it could be possible that the only way to stop the rumbling is by stopping the man in charge, Eren himself, and that can only be done by killing him because words don’t seem to affect him.
