With the first season dropping in 2019, fans have already been waiting for the second season to come by. With September approaching soon, we can believe that the fans might already be excited about the announcements from the officials. However, it is for sure that the second season would come, as Amazon in July itself revealed that the second season of the series would certainly come later.
Release Date of the Show
It is also thought that the second season which was coming in November 2019 only, had to be halted till March 2020 due to the pandemic situation. The filming was later completed in August 2020, but the release date still seems to be hanging on the bridge. A rumor says that the difference between the filming and presenting the first film took 17 months; thus, following the trend, the second season may drop by January 2022.
The Cast of the Show
Orlando Bloom played Rycroft Philostrate and Cara Delevingne as Vignette Stonemoss, and many others like Tamzin merchant, Andrew Gower, Karla Crome, Jared Harris played their parts well.
Story So Far
The first season was released in August 2019; Rene Echeverria and Travis Beacham wrote the story. The story starts with a vignette escaping from the pack soldiers and fleeing onto a ship, though the twist happens when she becomes the sole survivor due to a storm that passed by the sea. The ship belonged to Ezra, who now wants compensation and asks vignette to become a maid to profit as the shipwreck happened to her. When she reaches carnival row, she meets her lost friend, the tourmaline, who witnesses her first love, Philo.
The story again takes a turn when he becomes a police officer investigating the case, which happened in a ship where some dark powers are involved. The two end up meeting each other often and getting entangled in the case. The story mainly revolves around some mythical creatures trying to live their lives on earth between the humans who try to control them.
These creatures have something unusual that is tying them or forbidding them to live or love or fly with freedom. Still, their hope seems to lie in darkness which controls humans, and thus the police officer gets entangled in this series of murders which are gruesome and threatening as well.
Episodes in the First Season
The first season had eight episodes which paved its way and created a beautiful story throughout. In contrast, the second season seems to have only five episodes, and the writers have already written.
Expected Cast and Story of Carnival Row Season 2
Though the cast will remain the same, the writers who wrote the first season and the second season are completely different, so a lot can be expected from the story as the brains behind the work have changed talking about which it seems that this story not just offers a fight that exists among humans but some mythical creatures being involved too. It sometimes makes me believe that some creatures may exist outside the world or the realm we are living in.
