The Cast and Plot
Clickbait Season 1 revolves around the harmful impacts of social media by showcasing how negative impulses are pushed on top in a world trapped in social media. Clickbait showcases the broad gap between the real-life and the virtual life of people. The show depicts Dawn Gleed going for catfishing dating profiles to satiate her likeness for it. However, once discovered by her husband, she deletes her profile, and one woman with whom she has been talking to kills herself.
While the victim’s brother kidnaps Nick, Dawn’s colleague, but later finds out that Nick isn’t the culprit. However, Nick is later killed by Ed and Dawn. However, Ed is killed by the police too. Even though Dawn lives, it will be interesting to see if season 2 is made, what new virtual mess Dawn will create.
The cast of Season 2 might see several new faces and a few older ones, including Pia Brewer, played by Zoa Kazan, Roshan Amiri, played by Phoenix Raei, Dawn Gleed played by Becca Lish, and Kai Brewer played by Jaylin Fletcher. It will be interesting to see who else makes it to the cast of Clickbait Season 2 if it is made.
Is it Cancelled?
So far, there has been no confirmation from the makers regarding the making of Clickbait Season 2, nor have they declined it. The fans who have been hooked to the mystery thriller that depicted some harsh realities of the virtual world surely want a season 2 even though Season 1 ended with the revelation of all the mysteries and with no loose ends. Even though Clickbait is referred to as a limited series, the fact that it is highly popular among the audience might lead the makers to go for a season 2.
