Dali And the Cocky Prince is a Korean drama that has been released recently and is ongoing, directed by Lee Jung-Seob. The series revolves around the central theme of love and comedy with a subtle pinch at societal class discrimination. The story has the female and male lead from two different familial backgrounds. While the girl belongs to a prestigious family, the boy is a parvenu who lacks formal education.

The show was originally scheduled to be premiered in November and December of 2021, but the Korean Broadcasting System decided to premiere it on September 22, 2021, on KBS2, followed by episode two on September 23, 2021, with the upcoming episodes yet to be released.

A Recap of Episode 1

The first episode was an insight into the lives of our lead characters Jin Moo-Hak and Kim Dal-R. It shows their difference in their approaches towards life. Whilst Dal-Ri’s life revolves around art, Moo-Hak’s around money. In the first episode itself, the brewing on-screen chemistry between the two has left the hearts of viewers swooning.

Kim Dali’s father operates an art gallery named Cheongsong Art Museum in South Korea, and Dali herself works as a visiting researcher at St. Miller Kunst Galerig. Moo-Hak, on the other hand, is wealthy but kind, he at the request of his Hyung Jin Ki Chul, provides monetary support to the Cheongsong Art.

Dali and Moo-Hak met coincidentally meet at the airport, and due to an unexpected turn of events, Moo-Hak lands at Dali’s house and spends the night there.

What to Expect in Episode 2?

Episode two will show the progression of their bond after spending a night together, Moo-Hak who was already smitten by Dal-Ri, presents his watch to her. In an unfortunate turn of events, Dal-Ri’s father will tragically expire, and Dal-Ri finally comes to terms with all their debt, including the money she has to pay to Moo-Hak.

Moo-Hak being the money-minded person he is, will create havoc at the museum, which leaves the future of Dal-Ri and Moo-Hak in jeopardy.

In the male lead role, we will see Kim Min-jae as Jin Moo-Hak, a money-minded person behind a successfully running company, who is kind as well. In the female lead role, we will see Park Gyu-young as Kim Dal-ri. In the role of Dal-ri’s first love Jang Tae-jin we will see Kwon Yul.

In other minor characters, we will see, in the role of Dal-ri’s father, Kim Nak-Cheon actor Jang Gwang. In the role of a curator at Cheong-song Art Museum, Song Sa-bong, we will see actor Woo Hee-jin.

Conclusion

The series so far has won the hearts of its viewers and critics, and the credit goes to the skillful actors who have successfully portrayed their roles. The on-screen chemistry between the lead roles adds as a bonus. The upcoming episodes are expected to be filled with drama and set the audience on an emotional roller coaster.
