Teen dramas have gained huge popularity among teenagers across the globe. They are getting attracted to the life situations portrayed in the dramas. One such popular high school drama is “Degrassi,” a Canadian teen drama, and the series has managed to earn quite good popularity among its viewers. The remake will change the series’ initial half-hour format while seeking a new host on HBO Max. The recreated series is expected to contain ten episodes each of one-hour duration.

After writing and creating the show for generations, Degrassi long-time showrunners are drifting away from the saga means they won’t be recreating the upcoming 2023 release. According to a report by ‘Shadow and Act’, the drama will be recreated by showrunners Julia Cohen and Lara Azzopardi. They are known for their shows Riverdale and The Bold Type, respectively.
The show’s creators are speculated to start shooting for the movie by the summer of 2022, as revealed by the production firm WildBrain. The shooting is expected to take place in Toronto on a brand new set.

In 2019, numerous major sets and prop pieces from past editions of the Canadian teen drama were put up for auction, making its viewers doubtful that the show will ever get a resurrection. But now, when the streaming giant has announced the return of Degrassi in 2023, viewers are quite assured that there will be a major change in the setup for the show, including the Degrassi Community School and other famous hanging locations.
