As per the official news, this season will have less episodes as compared to the previous seasons. There used to be 11 episodes per season, but there will be just 8 episodes in Season 13 because of the global pandemic. Azhur Saleem and Jamie Magnus Stone have directed these episodes. Chibnall has written all the episodes. Maxie has co-written one episode. Filming for this season began in November 2020 and was wrapped up in August 2021.
