Four Good Days is a drama based on a true story. Mila Kunis is seen in this movie playing the role of a heroin addict. We also see Genn Close, who is her mother and also suffering in her own way. The movie is based on an article published in the Washington Post regarding Amanda Wendler from the Detroit area. She struggles for over a year to overcome addiction (opiate addiction).
The article was written by Eli Saslow and Rodrigo Garcia (she has directed and co-written the drama). Although Four Good Days couldn’t earn many awards, it is definitely worth a watch.

ToggleThe Plot of Four Good Days

A young addict comes out of a rehab center and tries to stay clean. She actually tries to stay clean while she lives with her mother for the next few days. The movie starts with Molly, who is having withdrawal symptoms. She has nowhere to go and ends up on her mother’s door. Deb, her mother, refuses to accept her until she is clean. They both argue, and eventually, Molly sleeps outside the door.
Realizing how stubborn Molly can be, Deb takes her inside her home, but Molly is required to go to a detox center before that. Deb even takes Molly to a dentist to get false teeth in order to hide her rotting gums. At the center, they come to know about a treatment that’ll help in blocking opioid receptors and keeping her clean. Molly agrees to go on the treatment and is told to stay clean for the next four days to take the meds.
