American Broadcasting Company (ABC) had announced the eighteenth season of the American TV medical drama show Grey’s Anatomy in May this year. Season 18 Episode was out on September 30. ABC Signature handles the production of this latest season alongside Shondaland Production Company and Entertainment One TV. The showrunner being Krista Vernoff.
About Grey’s Anatomy Season 18
For the first time in the series, an episode does not bring Jesse Williams on screen. Not just Jesse, but the audience will also not see Giacomo Gianniotti and Greg Germann too. However, the season brings back Addison Montgomery. Played by Kate Walsh, Addison will be seen in two episodes.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Cast and Characters
We’ll see Ellen Pompeo as Dr. Meredith Grey, with Chandra Wilson as Dr. Miranda, and James Pickens Jr. as Dr. Richard in the lead role. Alongside them, we have Kevin McKidd as Dr. Owen, Caterina Scorsone as Dr. Amelia, and Camilla Luddington as Dr. Jo. The recurring cast for Season 18 includes Abigail Spencer as Dr. Megan, Lynn Chen as Dr. Michelle, Alex Landi in the role of Dr. Nico, and Melissa DuPrey playing Dr. Sara. Few others too join the recurring cast for Season 18.
Other than these, we have notable guest appearances by Debra Mooney, Kate Burton, Greg Germann, and Jaina Ortiz. They’ll be playing the roles of Evelyn Hunt, Dr. Ellis, Dr. Tom Koracick, and Lt. Andy, respectively.
When can the Fans Expect Grey’s Anatomy Season 18, Episode 7?
After Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 last episode’s release, the fans desperately await the next episode, i.e., Episode 7. There is already an atmosphere of buzz and confusion regarding the release date of the seventh episode. Sadly for all GA fans, ABC is not bringing any new episode this coming week. Surprisingly, there is no Grey’s Anatomy episode coming out the following week, too.
The seventh episode, as they announced, would include Thanksgiving. Also, around this time, ABC will not prefer airing anything as it would snatch away the audience from Annie’s LIVE show on NBC. So considering all these circumstances in mind, fans can expect the release of the GA Season 18 Episode 7 on December 9. Although, we already have surety on releasing an episode on December 16, which will be Christmas-based content.
Happily for the fans, the show is continuing with its episode release even during the holiday season. After one whole year of pandemic and delayed seasons of many shows, we finally get to watch Grey’s Anatomy back on screens with a smooth and timely airing.
