What is the show about?
The Time Traveler’s Wife is about a man named Henry DeTamble and his journey as a time traveler and living with this is his wife, Clair Abshire. Henry has been traveling through time since he was a little kid. He has known his wife Claire since she was a kid and has been visiting her as a young adult and an adult.
The meets are completely random and messy making their love story so very unique. Henry has a genetic disorder that makes him time travel alone, as he can’t take anything, just about nothing with him. He travels through time completely naked as not even his clothes stay with him through that.
Claire is an artist and has her own time travel just not the way Henry does, not literally. But she has to deal with her own life so deeply tangled with Henry and his going back and forth in time. The show is about love, marriage and relationships along with identity, self-determination and free will.
Here although the plot is so very epic and grand about traveling through time in different ages and places and surviving all that, in the core though is a very basic concept we see daily, which is the trials and tribulations of marriage and how two people so madly in love yet so uniquely twisted deal with all that.
