This is an American comedy series. It was initially released online on HBO now, in the year 2016. It went in for its second season in the same year in November while the first series was out in September. The third season was released in 2017 August. The fourth season was out last year in April, and this year, the fifth season is supposed to be out and the last season of the show. The show was basically about a duo. Two African American women and their experiences are reflected in the title of the show “insecure.”
These two are the protagonists and go by the name of Issa and Molly. They have shared a very close bond since their college days. Apart from that, the closeness remained intact when they walked on their paths to form a secure career, relationships, and a good life. But life isn’t easy for those who are constantly the topic of discussion. Being from a very distinct background, they face a lot of discrimination and humiliation, and this shows the racism faced by the black people regardless of the talent and hardwork.
Season 5 to be Announced in September
The filming for this amazing series started back in January this year. And according to the social networking sites, the production was almost near the end by June. So we’re counting on September to fetch us the new season.
What could the Story be about this time?
Regardless of what the show is trying to tell us or rather reveal the dark secrets of discrimination. This time the show might open on a happy note. Things are falling into place for Issa, and she’s planning on shifting to San Francisco. Though Nathan possesses some feelings for Issa, he’s managing it quite well not to let this invade her peace of mind.
But on the contrary, Molly is having a tough time. She needs to focus on her life and get hold of it before it’s just too late for her to do so. Molly raises her hand towards her best friend for help, and this might be a time when we get to see the both of them getting along well, just like before. Though it might be a blissful moment, they might not cling to each other like before, but they will be in contact. This is the last season, so that it might reveal the thoughts of the two ladies.
Expected Cast
Issa, the jolly character, cannot be replaced so that she would be in her form. Molly, Issa’s confidant, would also be there in her role. Jay Ellis will be Issa’s beau. Natasha Rothwell will be playing Kelli. Alexander Hodge will play the role of the protagonist, Molly’s boyfriend part. However, there are not many chances to be seen in the cast list. And being the last season, we’re not expecting any new faces to walk in for the show.
