In 1990 the twin brothers were arrested after they were accused of killing Dugger. Although the cops did not find Dugger’s dead body, Pat’s wife uttered the truth. On the basis of her statement and other evidence, both the brothers were arrested and sentenced to prison for 25 years.
Pat’s wife explained that she saw both them rapping and torturing the 24-year-old mother. However, later they burnt her body and dumped the ashes near the Shady Lawn Truck Stop in Elkton, which is near the penthouse.

In 1986 Bondurant brothers were accused of killing Ronnie Gaines, who was Pete’s colleague. After killing him, they buried him in their parents’ Giles County home. The brothers accept that Pat has killed him during the trials, whereas he and Pete have held each other in covering up the body. Along with that, Pete was also penalized after murdering Terry Lynn Clark for 15 years.
