Investigation Discovery See No Evil highlights another brutal incident as one of its episodes. This episode had spoken millions of words. The incident makes it very clear that even though birthdays are meant to enjoy ourselves and encourage us to take on responsibilities as we grow, you never know what will happen in the next moment.
The murder of Andrew Nesbitt is a spine-chilling incident. None could believe that such a kind and happy person who had just celebrated his birthday eve the previous night was found dead in his bedroom, that too on the day of his birthday, early in the morning on March 27, 2017.
How did Andrew Nesbitt Die?
As mentioned earlier, Andrew Nesbitt was a very kind and supportive person. He was such a human being who could never see others suffering. He was more like an important asset to human society. He loved to spread happiness among other people. He was even got attacked by someone in the past, say like six years before his murder. He got attacked near a bar in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
The reason for which he got attacked is completely ridiculous. It was all because he was homosexual. After this, he was tremendously injured. The date of Andrew’s birthday was March 27, but he wanted to celebrate it before that; thus, he decided to celebrate it on the night of March 26 and will be returning home earlier. He, along with his roommate, Rachael Bauer, used to share a condominium.
But, due to some reason, Rachel was out of the city. Early in the morning, that means on the morning of Andrew’s birthday, when Rachel returned, it was her who was the first one to find Andrew’s dead body.
What Happened After Rachel Found Andrew’s Dead Body?
Considering the previous attack, it was not sure whether he was murdered because of his sexual orientation. So, after Rachel discovered Andrew’s body, she called the police. The police started to look into the matter immediately. It was pretty much evident that Andrew had been murdered brutally.
Finally, it was revealed that the reason for his death is that he had been stabbed several times. It was not that the murderer had stabbed him only at one spot but, the wounds were all over his body. The shocking fact about the incident is that there is no evidence of any forced entry.
Who was the Murderer of Andrew Nesbitt?
It was very difficult for the police to find any evidence because there was no specific evidence to be found. Later on, when they got to know that Andrew was celebrating his birthday eve late at night, they decided to check all the footage of the CCTV cameras that had spotted Andrew on his way back home. Eventually, he was spotted by a CCTV camera near a grocery shop around 3:30 am on March 27.
The CCTV camera also recorded Andrew having a conversation with a stranger, but unfortunately, his identity couldn’t be found through that one footage. Afterward, the stranger followed Andrew on his way back home. The police of Madison made sure that the killer should get arrested, and thus when they couldn’t find that person’s identity, they decided to circulate his pictures to all the police stations.
They even managed to collect some other footage from the dashcam of a passing vehicle during that time. The killer was then revealed to be Darrick Anderson. There was no evidence of forced entry because Andrew was the one who had opened the door for him.
Where is the Murderer Now?
Darrick Anderson was convicted for the murder of Andrew Nesbitt. As of now, Darrick Anderson is imprisoned in the Columbia correctional institution. It is located in Portage, Wisconsin.
